Fantastic people to work with. They help me settle the house and will be helping me with my visa situation all while I'm overseas. They are extremely friendly, they are also very responsive via email and WhatsApp. Sandra and Paula from the Barcelona office were very professional and had answers to all my questions. Super experienced! I've also compared about 15 different lawyer firms before I fully committed and I can say the fees they charge are fully transparent and reasonable compare to the market.

Working with Iris Galván and her team at Carbray to recover my Spanish nationality was the best, and luckiest, decision I could have made.  As a lawyer myself in the USA, I respect the intricacies and technical nuances of the law.  I know the value of expert advice - hiring an experienced lawyer was not a hard decision for me.

What can be easily overlooked, however, is that the decision to acquire a new nationality is also deeply personal, because it touches on identity, family history, a reconciliation of the past with a sense of hope for the future.  Once a process like this is startet, the personal stakes in a successful outcome become enormous. Failure quickly becomes unfathomable.

But, the wheels of bureaucracy turn slowly.  The process is not designed to be easy or efficient. Quite the contrary - it is a three dimensional puzzle with many important pieces hidden from view. To make matters worse, the pieces don't always neatly fit together. The endeavor quickly turns into a waiting game with little or no information flow for long stretches of time.  Second guessing and doubts are inevitable.  Hope can fade. Patience can run short.

I can’t overstate how important it was for me to be reassured by someone I could trust, and who knows what she is talking about, that I should stay the course because things will work out in the end.  I did, and, they did. I am glad I had someone to listen to. And, I am glad I listened.  My Spanish Passport is on the way. And, now it is my daughter's turn.

As much as I would love to single out every person at Carbray International for the high praise they deserve, I’m certain I’ll neglect someone. So instead, I’ll focus on their institutional excellence as a conscientious and professional team of attorneys who are experts at navigating the rocks and shoals of Spanish governmental and immigration law. The Carbray Team — because that’s what you’re getting when you hire the firm — is much more the sum of its parts. They helped my wife and I obtain our Non-Lucrative Visas for Spanish residency, hitting the ground running from the first day in 2022 when their services were retained through June 2024 when the Spanish government issued our Residency ID cards. It was a winding road with bumps, twists, and turns that terrified us both many times, but Carbray representatives calmly steered us through each step. I can state with confidence that we would not have succeeded in attempting this process on our own.
