It is no secret that Portugal has become a top spot for living, working and investing in Europe. Its well-preserved reputation and perks offered by its residency permits have caught our eye on us, so we’ve decided to expand our shores, settle in and open new offices here!
This is a monumental time for us at Carbray, as this becomes the third Carbray branch and the first one overseas. The past few weeks have been very busy for the team, filled with preparation and internal logistics, trips to Portugal, meetings with new business partners, interviews with well-prepared lawyers (new Cabray team!), and of course excitement for what is yet to come.
Get ready for the official launch date, which is coming next Monday, October 17, 2022. On this day, we will introduce you through our Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and website channels, to our new immigration services that will help you fast-track your move to Portugal.
Our immigration lawyers in Portugal will bring clarity to your process, teach you the benefits offered by each Portuguese visa, will avoid you from taking the risks of going it alone, and of course will make you feel confident that every detail will be taken care of by an expert.
Setting the foundation for a new office and team
On September 27 and 28, our Managing Director, Damiàn, together with our Portuguese team visited Lisbon, Portugal’s largest city, capital, and the new location for the Carbray branch.
Damiàn and Guilherme, our Portuguese lawyer, arrived on Tuesday early morning determined to finish off the details for the planning of this project. Lots of meetings with current business partners, future Carbray lawyers, and even meetings to discuss current Portuguese cases took place during this first day. They don’t say, “a winning effort begins with preparation” for nothing, to guarantee our clients the best service and guidance, all of this has to be pinned down.
After the immigration networking, which included encountering our partner Karina, who handles the Portuguese nationality through Sephardic origin cases, then came the real estate networking. Guilherme refers to these real estate sessions as incredibly beneficial, considering they got to meet one of the best realtors in Europe and team up with them. Looking for a Portuguese property to complete your visa application? Get in touch today.
This first active day ended with our team interviewing lawyers for the firm, offering proposals, and enjoying a nice Portuguese dinner.
On the last day of the trip, the focus was on building the strategy for this new division and setting up the vision and objectives to stick to. Damiàn and Guilherme are taking the lead for the planning of this division, and the team is sure this project we’re embarking on will be met with future success.
The day was done with some remote work, taking care of current immigration cases in Spain and boarding a flight back to our Barcelona headquarters.
We’re eager to show you how our new Portuguese services will become your definitive guide to living and working in Portugal, and how the bureaucratic procedures can be turned easy with the right help from an expert. Stay tuned for the official launch date.
